Pomona, CA – Two Killed in Car Crash on Garey Ave near Bonita Ave
Pomona, CA (May 30, 2023) – A major motor vehicle accident was reported in the Pomona area on Sunday evening that claimed the lives of two people.
At around 8:45 p.m. on May 28, the Pomona Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on Garey Avenue.
Investigations determined that a collision between two vehicles took place on Gary Avenue just north of Bonita Avenue during the evening hours. The accident involved an SUV and a second unidentified vehicle. The impact of the collision caused the SUV to overturn, trapping three people inside.
A man and a woman in the SUV were pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of the injuries they suffered. A third victim was removed from the SUV. The victim, a woman to who is believed to be in her 50s, was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.
At this time, the police are investigating.
