Oxnard, CA – Carmen Ramirez Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Seventh St
Oxnard, CA (August 14, 2022) – One woman lost her life following an auto accident in Oxnard on Friday evening. At around 6:45 p.m., on August 12, the police responded to a crash that occurred on Seventh Street.
Reports from authorities show that 73-year-old Carmen Ramirez was walking westbound on Seventh Street toward A Street during the evening hours. As she attempted to cross the roadway in a designated crossing area, she was struck by a 2020 GMC Sierra, driven by a 38-year-old man.
Ramirez was rushed to a local hospital, where she passed away from her injuries.
The GMC driver remained at the scene and spoke with law enforcement.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
