Los Angeles, CA – Fatal Crash on Santa Monica (10) Freeway near Alameda St Exit Takes One Life
Los Angeles, CA (October 17, 2022) – A traffic collision reported in downtown Los Angeles claimed one person’s life on Friday morning. At around 6:15 a.m., on October 14, the California Highway Patrol was notified that a crash occurred on the Santa Monica Freeway.
According to reports, a collision between vehicles occurred on the westbound side of Santa Monica Freeway in the area near the exit for Alameda Street. The crash blocked two westbound lanes, causing delays in the area.
One person was fatally injured due to the collision and pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers.
The California Highway Patrol blocked off multiple lanes of travel as they worked to provide assistance at the scene. Investigations are currently underway.
