Los Angeles, CA – Pedestrian Killed in 94th St Crash at Vermont Ave
Los Angeles, CA (January 16, 2024) – A woman lost her life as a result of a pedestrian accident that took place in the Westmont neighborhood on Sunday evening, January 14. The Los Angeles Police Department was summoned to the crash site at approximately 11:30 p.m.
LAPD reports indicate that a female pedestrian and a male pedestrian were both struck by a silver 2023 Kia Sorrento on 94th Street near the area of Vermont Avenue. The two victims were walking in a marked crosswalk at the time of the accident. The female pedestrian was fatally injured due to the accident and pronounced deceased at the scene. The male pedestrian was severely harmed. The victim was rushed to an area hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the accident. However, the vehicle was recovered a few blocks from the accident. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
