Car Accidents in California
Every day, hundreds of individuals in California suffer injuries due to car accidents. In many instances, these accidents are preventable. Negligence often plays a significant role in causing these motor vehicle crashes. Some of the primary causes include:
- Failure to yield: Drivers must yield the right-of-way to other vehicles before entering roadways, exiting driveways, or merging onto roadways. Regrettably, there are numerous instances where drivers fail to adhere to these essential requirements, resulting in severe accidents.
- Impairment: When individuals drive while under the influence of alcohol, their chances of colliding with other vehicles and causing harm greatly increase. Unfortunately, intoxication severely impairs judgment, leading to irresponsible decision-making while driving.
- Disregarding stop signs: Motorists must come to a complete stop whenever directed to do so before proceeding through an intersection. Unfortunately, a significant number of collisions occur due to vehicles blatantly ignoring stop signs.
When innocent victims suffer injuries in car crashes, they often require extensive medical treatment. To alleviate some of the financial burdens and losses they face, it is crucial for them to exercise their legal rights by pursuing a personal injury claim for compensation.
