Car Accidents in California
Car accidents can be incredibly devastating. Unfortunately, thousands of people die as a result of vehicle collisions in California. Tens of thousands more are left with severe injuries that require medical attention immediately.
Many victims struggled to move forward after being harmed in a motor vehicle accident. Victims often struggle to overcome the painful physical and emotional injuries they have. Unfortunately, the financial burdens that they face related to medical expenses, lost wages, and other costs and losses can be challenging to overcome as well.
There are many cases where innocent people suffer debilitating injuries and car crashes due to negligent drivers. Distracted driving, also known as inattention caused by engagement in another task, is the leading cause of car accidents in the United States.
Distracted driving occurs when a driver is engaged in an activity that takes their attention away from the road. Drivers can engage in many different distractions, including talking on a cell phone, texting, eating and drinking, or anything else that takes their attention off the road.
Drivers who speed are also dangerous on the roads here in California. Speeding can increase your chances of getting into an accident by causing you to go around curves too quickly or making you pass other cars on the road illegally. Running red lights can also lead to car accidents. When you run a red light, you are going against traffic rules and putting yourself and others in danger.
