Los Angeles, CA (August 21, 2025) – A collision involving two Metro buses and a third vehicle sent three people to local hospitals Wednesday, August 20, in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. The incident occurred at approximately 4:17 p.m. on the 100 block of South Grand Avenue, near First Street, drawing a rapid emergency response from fire and medical personnel.
One of the buses reportedly jumped the sidewalk, injuring a 52-year-old female passenger. She was taken to a nearby hospital and is currently in fair condition, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Lyndsey Lantz. In total, three individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries requiring hospital care, while other passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the crash and working to determine how the chain of events unfolded.
