Car Accidents in California
In 2022, a total of 165,978 people were hurt as a result of California car crashes. Although this number decreased by nearly 7.8 percent from 2021, it continues to be a significant number of innocent people being harmed on our roadways. There are various factors that contribute to our high rate of automobile accidents. Speeding, impairment, and distractions are three of the main causes of these collisions every year.
After being hurt in a car crash in California, you have a period of up to two years to take legal action against the responsible party. It is in your best interest to file a personal injury claim to ensure they are held accountable. This type of legal action can help you get the money that you need for medical costs, pain and suffering, lost wages, and more.
To ensure you have the best chance of maximizing the money you are able to recover for these and other damages, it is in your best interest to seek representation from a Los Angeles car accident lawyer. Your attorney will help with the following:
- Thoroughly examine the details of your accident.
- Compile all relevant information into your personal injury claim, including photographs, police reports, statements from witnesses, and various other forms of evidence of your damages.
- Construct and submit a personal injury claim to the insurance company of the at-fault driver.
- Engage in negotiations to secure a fair settlement if the insurance company attempts to provide an inadequate offer.
- Initiate a lawsuit if negotiations with the insurance company prove unsuccessful.
- Manage every aspect of the pretrial process.
- Provide representation in court with the primary objective of securing full compensation for your losses.
It is crucial to act quickly to ensure you have the best chance of proving your case against the responsible party.
