Los Angeles, CA – Father, Daughter Killed in Crash on Normandie Ave
Los Angeles, CA (January 2, 2024) – A fatal car accident reported in the Los Angeles area claimed the lives of a man and his young daughter. The accident occurred at around 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, December 31.
According to official reports, and SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed after fleeing a collision on the south side of Los Angeles. As the vehicle proceeded through the intersection of Normandy Avenue and West 60th Place, it struck a sedan. The sedan was occupied by a family of four. The force of the collision sent the sedan into a sign and a fence.
The male driver of the sedan suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two young girls between the ages of two and five and an adult female were all removed from the vehicle by a Good Samaritan. All three of the victims were rushed to an area hospital for emergency care. The older of the two young girls passed away from her injuries after arriving. The mother and the young daughter were admitted in critical condition. The driver of the SUV, who was identified as a 22-year-old male, was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Charges against the driver are pending. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
