Car Accidents in California
Day after day, innocent people are hurt as a result of vehicle collisions in the state of California. Many will have to undergo emergency medical care. Even though no accidents are alike, we see some similarities in the injuries that victims are left with.
The following are some of the most common car accident injuries in California:
- Head injury: Injuries to the head can range from minor scrapes and bruises to more serious fractures and brain damage. If you are struck by another vehicle, be sure to seek medical attention as soon as possible.
- Neck injury: Neck injuries can occur when the head impacts the windshield or dashboard. Depending on the severity of the injury, you may require surgery to restore neck function.
- Spine injury: A spinal cord injury can result from a car accident, especially if you are thrown from the vehicle. In severe cases, paralysis may result. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any signs or symptoms of a spinal cord injury, including extreme pain in your back or legs.
- Arm and hand injuries: Car accidents often result in broken bones, which can require surgery and months of rehabilitation.
