Car Accidents in California
California is no stranger to devastating car accidents. Each year, hundreds of thousands of collisions are reported on roads across our state. Tens of thousands of people are left with injuries as a result of these accidents. In many cases, innocent people suffer debilitating injuries due to crashes caused by negligence. Some of the leading factors and crashes in our state include:
- Speeding: Speeding is one of the most common reasons for car accidents. When a driver is speeding, they are less likely to be able to stop in time if something unexpected happens.
- Distracted driving: Distracted driving is another common cause of car accidents. This can include things like texting while driving, talking on the phone, eating, drinking, or anything else that takes the attention of a motorist from the road ahead.
- Driving under the influence: Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is also a common cause of car accidents. This can impair a driver’s ability to make sound and responsible decisions and increase the likelihood of making mistakes.
- Fatigue: Fatigue can also play a role in causing car accidents. When a driver is tired, they may have trouble staying focused on the road and may even fall asleep at the wheel.
If you’ve been hurt as a result of a car crash, and another driver’s negligence played a role, you may be able to recover compensation for your medical expenses, lost earnings, and a variety of other costs and losses you face.
