At around 1:15 p.m. on October 21, the police and firefighters were summoned to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on East 62nd Street. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities discovered the involved vehicles blocking several lanes of the roadway near South Central Avenue. The incident prompted the closure of the intersection as crews worked to clear the scene. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further medical care.
