Long Beach, CA – Pedestrian Struck & Killed by Train on First St near Long Beach Blvd & Pine Ave
Long Beach, CA (July 1, 2022) – A pedestrian accident took place in the Long Beach area on Wednesday afternoon that claimed one person’s life. Just after 4 p.m., on June 29, the Long Beach Police Department and firefighters were dispatched to the site of a motor vehicle accident on First Street.
Reports provided by LB PD Charlotte that an adult male pedestrian was traveling in the 100 block of First Street during the early evening hours. For unknown reasons, he was struck by a Metro A Line Train.
The pedestrian suffered significant injuries as a result of the accident. The police closed off First Street between Long Beach Boulevard and Pine Avenue as they worked to clear the area.
The victim was subsequently pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
