Lawndale, CA – Deadly Crash at Marine Ave and Mansel Ave
Lawndale, CA (August 12, 2025) – Early Monday morning, August 11, a violent two-car collision at the intersection of Marine Avenue and Mansel Avenue claimed the life of one person. The crash happened at approximately 7:30 a.m., according to the South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station.
Aerial images from the scene showed two sedans with heavy front-end damage, car parts strewn across the roadway, and a detached vehicle door marked with the JLM Environmental logo lying in the street. One of the involved vehicles was a black Hyundai. Emergency crews quickly blocked the intersection while investigating the incident, forcing traffic to be rerouted in the area for several hours.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved or the cause of the crash. At least one person was pronounced deceased at the scene, while other individuals may have required medical attention.
