Lake Balboa, CA – Two Killed in High-Speed Two-Vehicle Crash on N Balboa Blvd near Victory Blvd
Lake Balboa, CA (February 9, 2023) – Two people reportedly died as a result of a speeding vehicle accident that took place in Lake Balboa on Wednesday. On February 8, the Los Angeles County Fire Department and police responded to the scene of a major traffic accident on North Balboa Boulevard.
Reports provided by local news sources show that a Corvette was traveling in excess of 90 miles per hour when it ran a red light and crashed into a Honda Accord in the 6400 block of North Balboa Boulevard. The force of the collision caused the Honda to split into two and overturn.
The Corvette was then propelled into the parking lot of a strip mall near North Balboa Boulevard in Victory Boulevard.
The driver of the Honda, a woman in her 40s, was fatally injured in the crash. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second victim was rushed to an area hospital for emergency care, where they later died from their injuries.
The circumstances surrounding this fatal accident are being investigated.
