Compton, CA – One Killed in Crash on 710 Freeway near Alondra Blvd
Compton, CA (July 18, 2022) – A crash reportedly took the life of one person on Sunday morning in the Compton area, according to the California Highway Patrol. At around 2:50 a.m., on July 17, emergency crews were notified that a crash took place on the 710 Freeway, also known as the Long Beach Freeway.
CHP logs indicate that a collision between vehicles occurred on the 710 freeway in the Compton area just north of Alondra Boulevard. The crash prompted CHP to issue a SigAlert stating that they were shutting down multiple northbound lanes of the interstate.
One person involved in the accident was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding officers. A driver and passenger in one of the vehicles were transported to a local hospital for medical care.
The crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol at this time.
